Governor Siminalayi Fubara has pushed back against growing speculation about his political alignment, firmly restating his commitment to the All Progressives Congress.
The clarification came on Wednesday during an inspection of the newly reconstructed Psychiatric and General Hospital in Rumuigbo, where the governor dismissed circulating reports of a possible defection as false and misleading.
Fubara stressed that he remains a loyal member of the APC and fully aligned with the party’s direction, seeking to quell uncertainty fueled by social media claims.
Beyond politics, the governor highlighted progress in the health sector, describing the hospital project as a key milestone in his administration’s efforts to improve access to quality healthcare. He noted that the upgraded facility is expected to ease the burden on the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital while also serving residents of surrounding communities in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
According to him, the project reflects his government’s broader commitment to enhancing the well-being of residents across the state.
